University Agency for Academic Affairs and Development

It is the agency responsible for supervising the educational and development process at the university and working to improve and develop educational programs to meet the requirements of the labor market by raising the efficiency of the performance of the university's colleges and institutes in general and creating an educational environment that supports the student and faculty member. It is also responsible for organizing and managing the affairs of the deanships, departments, centers and units affiliated with them as required by the interests of work in accordance with the regulations and systems of higher education. The agency follows up on development paths, mechanisms and initiatives and works to provide the requirements for their effective implementation in all sectors of the university in accordance with the highest levels and standards in force in prestigious international universities.

  • 1. Working to achieve the university’s goals in the general strategic framework for education and general educational policies in the country.
  • 2. Supervising the progress of the educational process at the university.
  • 3. Follow up on the implementation of the university’s strategic plan for academic affairs and development.
  • 4. Supervising the progress of administrative and technical work in the deanships and related departments and working to raise the level of performance therein
  • 5.Supervising the preparation of the annual plans of the agencies associated with the agency in coordination with the deanships and relevant departments, following up on their implementation, and preparing annual reports on them.
  • 6. Working to improve performance and raise the performance efficiency of various educational units at the university.
  • 7. Supervising the follow-up of the teaching loads of faculty members, and conducting the necessary study or analysis, so that it is consistent with the rules and regulations related to that.
  • 8. Working to develop educational programs in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.
  • 9. Working to attract distinguished faculty members and continually improve their performance.
  • 10. Following up on the university’s global classification through well-known classification institutions and developing plans and mechanisms to improve the university’s global classification.
  • 11. Working to provide the necessary information bases for planning development programs in all fields.
  • 12. Establishing local and international partnerships with prestigious scientific and technical institutions and centers and benefiting from them in the scientific and applied aspects.
  • 13. Proposing development projects and programs for all university sectors related to administrative affairs.
  • 14. Develop general strategies to evaluate performance and ensure quality at the university and follow up on their implementation.
  • 15. Preparing and submitting periodic reports to His Excellency the President of the University on the executive plans and programs and their means for managing and developing the educational process and what has been accomplished therefrom.
